A Level company - serving Greenwich, CT

Meet the Team - Level Two Chimney Greenwich

Every visit starts with

Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed

Worth knowing

Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Meet the Greenwich Team Behind Level Two Chimney Greenwich

We’re a Greenwich-based crew that’s spent years working on chimneys from backcountry estates to the 1920s colonials near Bruce Park. Most of us came up through the trade the hard way, hauling brushes and setting up scaffolding before we ever touched a camera scope. What unites us is simpler than a mission statement: we write down a price before we start, we show you photos of what we found, and we don’t leave until the job matches what’s on the paperwork. Corrine Halstead, Owner, set that standard in 2009, and nobody on this crew would work any other way.

Our People

Mike D. - Lead Technician, 14 Years in the Trade

Mike started sweeping chimneys in 2012 and has been with Level Two Chimney Greenwich since the Greenwich location opened. He’s the person most Greenwich customers see on the truck, and he’s the one who walks you through the camera feed when the Level 2 inspection turns something up. Mike specializes in diagnosing liner failures and staged creosote conditions, and he’s the first to say when a chimney can safely wait another season. When he’s not on a roof, he’s usually at Tod’s Point with a fishing rod, assuming the tide cooperates.

Sarah K. - Senior Installer, Liner and Rebuild Specialist

Sarah leads every reline and rebuild project we take on, from single-flue stainless liners to full chimney reconstruction. She’s been installing liners for 11 years and has handled hundreds of DuraFlex and HeatShield systems across Fairfield County. Sarah is the reason our rebuild jobs stay on schedule; she pre-walks every project, orders materials before demo starts, and keeps a photo log of progress that customers see as it happens. Her detail work on crown pours and cricket installations is the kind of thing other crews photograph for reference.

Lauren T. - Service Coordinator, Your First Call

Lauren answers the phone at (516) 399-5497, and she’s the person who turns your call into a written estimate before anyone arrives. She’s been with the company for six years and knows the Greenwich service area block by block, which helps when scheduling around commuter patterns and narrow back roads. Lauren is the one who texts you when your technician is on the way, along with the tech’s name and license number. If you’ve ever called and gotten a straight answer on a Tuesday at 9 p.m., that was Lauren.

Jordan R. - Apprentice Technician, Year Two

Jordan joined us two years ago and splits his time between running brushes, prepping rooftops, and learning camera-scan documentation under Mike’s supervision. He’s already passed his required safety certifications and handles the setup and teardown on most cleaning jobs in Greenwich. Jordan is the crew member you’ll see hauling the HEPA vac and the drop cloths, and he’s the reason every job site ends up cleaner than we found it. If there’s a dog on site, Jordan has already made friends with it.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

The Greenwich crew works under the same standard that’s governed this company since 2009. That means a written price before any work starts, a documented photo record when the work is done, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise stamped on every job. Clause 4 of the Haven Standard requires that photo record on every visit, and we treat it as what it is: your evidence of what we found and what we fixed. We don’t send a tech to a home without a name, a background check, and a uniform. We don’t quote over the phone and change it on site. And we don’t recommend relining a chimney unless the camera footage shows why. In Greenwich, that standard shows up one job at a time, no exceptions.
